A historic courtyard in the centre of Petersburg became T-Dvor on Mars: we covered it in red sand and set out rock ridges, a huge globe of Mars, antenna masts and solar panels above the marquee. The yellow arcades of the old courtyard were left untouched, and the contrast between them and the Martian ground builds a model of a future environment.

We find ourselves in a space that recalls at once an exhausted Earth and a newly colonised planet. Underfoot, sand. The environment is dry, almost scorched.

The future here is not fixed — it reads as a mirage that keeps transforming, offering different scenarios of development: technological, bio-integrated, humanistic.

The contrast between the dry sand landscape and the technological environment creates the feeling of a new world to come. This space is not scenery but a hypothesis: what the world will be like if technology develops faster than nature.

A line of its own is the light inside the event horizon. Laser lines build a tunnel in the smoke with neither beginning nor end: another point in the development of technology — one you can walk into, but not walk out of unchanged.

The outdoor stage is resolved as a spacecraft frozen in the sand landscape. Its porthole screens broadcast different scenarios of the future — technological, bio-integrated, humanistic. Behind them, space as a metaphor for infinite choice.

The stage becomes a point of observation and, at the same time, a point of departure. Humanity is as if aboard a ship that has not yet chosen its direction of flight.
