SOVOK

Sovok — a noodle bar taken apart and put back together.

We wanted a more contemporary interior, away from the feeling of a fast-food place, while keeping the architectural features of the space itself and showing them to advantage. So we kept the existing parquet underfoot, the staircase in the second room and the relief ceiling — which we restored and lit.

We deliberately limited the number of colours to remove visual noise. White square tile with a red line along the top, bottle-green glass block on the serving front, red as points — table tops, stool seats, door reveals. Green lives only on the furniture, and the furniture is our own design.

Contemporary, minimal, accented.
